The influence of propaganda

Politicians lead a country and control its people. Using a common tool- propaganda. With this powerful tool, they will always have people behind their back. What is propaganda you may ask? It is sort of information that promotes some political cause or point of view.

The election candidates can only rely on their propaganda program and the more it is attractive to people the more likely they will vote for them. However, voting is not the only area where propaganda appears, it is everywhere in the media.

Throughout history, we can see signs of propaganda, mostly in the recent era of World Wars, where it was crucial for the leaders so their people would not turn against them. In that time leaders had to have great public relations to present and leaders and their plans in a positive way and with a bright future, but in reality, they were menacing.

Nowadays, it is still the same or even worse because of social media and fast flow of propaganda and information. Propaganda has a big influence now because people believe in the first story they read and is convincing. A great example is the war in Ukraine now, some may say Russians this and Russians that, but people of Russia have nothing to do with that. Peoples minds were persuaded by the media and propaganda and some are even ready to fight with some innocent people because of the actions of their country leader. I would advise anybody to be careful with social media and propaganda on there but if you decide to read something always think twice before you do something you might regret.

Main purpose of propaganda is to change publics opinion and I hope that after reading that you will not act like everyone and follow leaders because after you do follow them, they control you and your opinion. Only you can prevent this and create your own opinion with information research.
